DR MAJOR G VASANTH KUMAR
Dr. Major G. Vasanth Kumar is a distinguished ENT Surgeon and Head & Neck Surgical Oncologist with over 20 years of experience in clinical practice, surgical oncology, academics, and healthcare leadership. His areas of expertise include head and neck cancer surgery, reconstructive head and neck procedures, endolaryngeal laser surgery, thyroid and salivary gland surgery, and advanced coblation-assisted ENT surgeries.
After completing his MBBS from Government Stanley Medical College, Chennai, Dr. Vasanth Kumar pursued his MS in Otorhinolaryngology at Command Hospital Air Force, Bangalore, followed by a DNB in Otorhinolaryngology. He further specialized in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology through a fellowship at the prestigious Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bangalore, one of India's leading cancer centers.
An officer of the Indian Army Medical Corps, Dr. Vasanth Kumar served as a Regimental Medical Officer for five years, gaining extensive experience in patient care, emergency management, and medical administration. His military background has contributed significantly to his disciplined approach, leadership qualities, and commitment to excellence in healthcare. Throughout his career, he has held several important clinical and academic positions, including Consultant Head & Neck Surgical Oncologist at Krishna Cancer Institute, Consultant ENT and Head & Neck Surgeon at Dr. Kamakshi Memorial Hospital, Chennai, and Consultant at Hindu Mission Hospital, Tambaram. He currently continues to provide comprehensive ENT and oncological surgical care while actively participating in multidisciplinary cancer management.
